2020 West of England Regional Championships
Back in Torquay for the first time since our promotion back to the Second Section, we enjoyed rehearsing the test piece 'The Golden Sabre - Tales of the Hussar-Poet Denis Davydov' by Kit Turnbull. We were reasonably happy with our performance, and finished 10th - our joint highest position in the regionals since 1997! Thanks to Ian and the band for all their hard work. We also enjoyed the traditional Chinese and Indian meals.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the last time we play together for some time. Our summer plans have been put on hold, as due to the social distancing rules now in force, we are not allowed to rehearse. We will miss playing, and look forward to being able to resume in due course.
