Although not primarily a contesting band, New Forest Brass enter the national brass band championships every year and also compete regularly in the
Wessex winter contest in Weymouth. Recently the band has been reasonably successful, qualifying for the 3rd section national finals in 2014 and being promoted to the second section for 2015,
as well as winning second place in the 2011 national brass band championship fourth section finals.
