2013 West of England Regional Championships
New Forest Brass have retained their third section status, finishing sixth in Torquay!
A great result in our first year as a third section band after working so hard at getting out of the fourth section. The extra rehearsals last week paid off and we were pleased with our performance. Well done to Alison and Tim in particular for their exposed solos in the laid back jazzy section! We played last out of 15 bands so the hall was packed by the time we got to play. By finishing in the top half we comfortably retained our third section place, and will be in fourth position in the grading table at the start of next year. Afterwards, we celebrated in the traditional way with a curry.
