Here's a batch a photos from the above-mentioned event. Significant amongst them is the very first sighting of one of our new banners, still in an unfinished state. Also interesting is an amusing sighting of Richard Taylor, of Woodfalls Concert band and occasional NFBB dep, seen sporting full oompah band clobber. If anyone would like original-size versions of these photos, please let me know.
The event itself followed the usual format, with a first half concluding with appropriate national anthems and the second finishing with a selection of German/Austrian style tunes. Soloists for the evening included Ted Read (cornet), Stacy Mayle (cornet), Alan Bridges (trombone) and myself (baritone). Conducting his first 'Oktoberfest' with the band was Ian Luxford.
